BRIEF
We were tasked with capturing the essence of Gorlomi, a fine Italian dining establishment located in Athens' upscale Kolonaki district. The restaurant's interior, designed by Bobotis+Bobotis Architects, blends traditional elements with modern aesthetics, featuring inky blue walls, orange upholstery, and minimalist ceilings accented by neon light fittings.
WHAT WE DID
Our approach involved photographing Gorlomi's interiors and ambiance, utilizing lighting techniques that produced a slightly old-fashioned, flashy aesthetic while maintaining a contemporary feel. This method highlighted the restaurant's unique design elements, such as the juxtaposition of classic plaster moulding with concrete ceilings, and the vibrant color palette that combines inky blue walls with orange upholstery.
RESULT
The resulting images effectively showcased Gorlomi's distinctive atmosphere, emphasizing its blend of classic and modern design. The slightly retro, flashy aesthetic of the photographs resonated with the restaurant's interior theme, providing Gorlomi with a compelling visual portfolio for promotional use.
